❤️ Fintech 4 Good? A new wave of fintech is looking to help immigrants with getting bank accounts, credit cards, mortgages and credit history. These are tough problems to solve but super important ones! Sifted has done a cool analysis of these fintechs which you can read here.
😞 Not So Stablecoin? TerraUSD, a stablecoin that’s designed to match the price of a dollar, lost its ‘peg’ yesterday. The result? Luna, a coin linked to Terra crashed 99%. want to find out more? 💰 Chainalysis Secures $170m in Series F Funding. The ‘Crypto Forensics’ company is now valued at $8.6bn and provides data and software to crypto exchanges, cybersecurity companies and government agencies. Read more here.
📉 Netflix Analysis. Mike Darcey, the former COO of Sky, has written a pretty sweet article on the recent Netflix price adjustment. He discusses the economics of ‘bundling’, the ‘DTC Model’ as well as the rise of competitors like Disney Plus. Have a read here.
🎮 Twitter T&Cs Game. Twitter has launched a ‘Mario style’ game to educate consumers about changes to its privacy policy and T&Cs. We won’t lie…it’s kinda fun. On a serious note this is a pretty great way to engage people in quite a boring complex topic. Play for yourself here.
🛰️ Starlink Ukraine Usage. Elon Musk's satellite wifi, Starlink, now has 150k users in Ukraine! This is awesome. Read the Twitter thread here.
🗳️ Tumelo Raises $19m. Have you ever voted in an annual general meeting? You probably haven’t. Tumelo is a UK startup that offers voting services to investment platforms and pension providers so that their users can vote on issues like board diversity and climate change.
