⚔️ AI Wars Microsoft, in their latest attempt to make you use Bing, has integrated with ChatGPT to offer a ‘new day for search’. In response, Google launched their competitive product, Bard, which accompanied a 9% drop in the share price after the demo was shown to be factually incorrect. Meanwhile, people are finding ways to ‘jailbreak’ ChatGPT making it break its safety filters in worrying ways.

👶 Bryan “Button” Johnson Rich people are out of control. Bryan Johnson, a wealthy tech entrepreneur, is looking to reverse the aging process. He’s on track to spend at least $2m on his body this year and wants to be ‘age 18 everywhere’. Bizarre.
😔 Neumann is Back! In August, a16z led a $350m round into a startup led by the disgraced WeWork founder Adam Neumann. Yesterday, a16z published a 50 minute interview with Neumann on this new startup. This is a must watch, check it out.
😮 2023 Breakthrough Tech. MIT has published a list of 10 breakthrough technologies of 2023, this list is super niche and we hadn’t heard of 6 of the 10! Our favourite? An ‘Organ on demand’ service. Read the full list here.
